Secondary

Secondary School continues the student´s development, building on each year.

The academic program for students aged 11 to 16 follows the British National Curriculum. The curriculum also incorporates the requirements of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science regarding the Spanish Language and Social Sciences. The academic curriculum is also supplemented by Citizenship & PSHEW (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Wellbeing), an extracurricular activities program and a student support system provided by the secondary education coordinator.

Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 follow the British National Curriculum program of study, called Key Stage 3, where students are evaluated upon its completion. When finishing this cycle, students of Year 9 take exams in English, Maths and Science. Nevertheless, teachers also evaluate students in the subjects of ICT, Spanish, Social Studies, Geography, History, Art and Design, Music, Drama and Physical Education.

In Years 10 and 11, students choose 3 optional subjects in which to be examined at the end of Year 11, in order to obtain their International General Certificates of Secondary Education (IGCSEs). Furthermore, they also have the compulsory subjects of English Language and Literature/Second Language English, Mathematics, Science, Information Communication Technology and Spanish Language.

In Years 12 and 13, pupils follow the  preuniversity course known as the CIE (Cambridge International Exams), AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) levels. The school is officially recognised by the CIE and Edexcel examination boards as an examination centre.
