Gran éxito, por cuarto año consecutivo, del Cross Country para colegios internacionales celebrado en Novaschool Sunland International
Málaga, 27 de enero de 2016. En la mañana de ayer tenía lugar por cuarta vez consecutiva en el Colegio Novaschool Sunland International el Interschool Cross Country Championships. El tiempo lluvioso de los días previos no afectó al circuito ni a la jornada y volvió a confirmarse el éxito rotundo de años anteriores, con una participación de 600 alumnos venidos de 10 colegios diferentes. Además, la eficiente organización permitió que la competición se desarrollase bajo unas condiciones óptimas.
Tras la vuelta de reconocimiento del terreno por los 750 metros en los que se desarrolló la prueba, a las 12:00 horas daba comienzo la primera carrera y así, sucesivamente, hasta completar las ocho categorías de las que constaba la competición.
En cuanto a los resultados, Novaschool Sunland se llevó dos medallas de oro, con las victorias de Pepa Ruiz Villalobos y Manuel López Fernández en las categorías de Chicas Menores de 11 y Chicos Menores de 19, respectivamente. En la general, Novaschool Sunland terminó quinto, sólo detrás de Sotogrande, Swans, EIC y Aloha, que se impuso en una ajustada final y desbancando así a EIC de su lugar habitual.
Finalizadas las pruebas, la Directora de Secundaria, Rachel Evans, y el Director de Primaria, Ken Spencer, procedieron a la entrega de medallas y diplomas a los ganadores de las distintas categorías. Además, cada uno de los participantes recibió un diploma por haber participado en este acontecimiento deportivo. Málaga, January 27th, 2016. Yesterday, Novaschool Sunland International hosted the International Schools Cross Country Championships for the fourth time. Despite the wet weather the previous day, it was yet again a great success with the participation of 600 students from 10 different International Schools across Andalucía. The efficient organisation of the event enabled the races to be carried out in excellent conditions and in a sporting atmosphere.

Before the race, competitors took the opportunity to walk the 750m course. The first race started at 12:00 and races continued in 8 different categories until 14:20 without a hitch.
All the athletes ran their hearts out and can be proud of their efforts on the day! Sunland achieved 2 Gold Medals, Pepa Ruiz Villalobos winning the Under 11 Girls’ race and Manu López Fernández winning the Boys’ Under 19 event. With regard to the Overall Score, Sunland finished in 5th place, just behind SIS, Swans, EIC and eventual winners Aloha.

After the final race, the Secondary Headteacher, Mrs. Rachel Evans, and the Primary Headteacher, Ken Spencer, awarded the medals and the certificates to the winners of the different categories. In addition, every participant also received a certificate for taking part in this great event.
