Cártama, 7 de febrero de 2014. El pasado mes de enero, tuvo lugar por segunda vez consecutiva en el Colegio Novaschool Sunland International el Interschool Cross Country Championships. A pesar del tiempo lluvioso de los días previos, la jornada no se vio empañada y volvió a confirmarse el éxito rotundo del año pasado, con una participación de 450 alumnos venidos de 10 colegios diferentes. La organización dirigió a la perfección la carrera e hizo posible que la competición se desarrollase bajo unas óptimas condiciones.
Tras la vuelta de reconocimiento del terreno por los 750 metros en los que se desarrolló la prueba, a las 12:00 horas daba comienzo la primera carrera, y así sucesivamente, hasta completar las ocho categorías.
Finalizadas las pruebas, la jefa del Departamento de Educación Física, Sue Barley, y el director del centro educativo, James Kennedy, procedieron a la entrega de medallas y diplomas a los ganadores de las distintas categorías. Además, cada uno de los participantes, también recibió su diploma por haber participado en este gran acontecimiento deportivo.

Despite the wet weather the previous days, it was yet again a great success with the participation of 450 students from 10 different International Schools across Andalucía. The good organisation of the event enabled the races to be carried out in excellent conditions and in a sporting atmosphere.
Before the race, competitors could walk the 750m lap. The first race started at 12:00 and races continued with 8 different categories until 14.00 without problems or incidents.
After the final race, the School Principal, Mr. James Kennedy and the Head of the Physical Education Department, Sue Barley, awarded the medals and the certificates to the winners of the different categories. In addition, every participant also received a certificate for taking part in this great event.
