The International Schools Cross Country Championships 2013 held at Novaschool Sunland International a resounding success

Málaga, 24 de enero de 2013. En la mañana de ayer tenía lugar  por primera vez  en el Colegio Novaschool Sunland International el Interschool Cross Country Championschips , con gran éxito de participación. Cerrándose así, una jornada de miércoles invadida  del mejor deporte en un entorno inigualable,  que hizo posible que esta competición se desarrollase bajo unas óptimas condiciones.

En dicha competición, participaron  alrededor de 500 alumnos  de los diez siguientes colegios  Internacionales de toda Andalucía:  Laude International College de San Pedro, Benalmadena International College, Almuñécar International School, St Anthony´s College, English International College, Swans School, St Georges, British College, Sotogrande International School y por último, el anfitrión, Novaschool Sunland International.

Tras la vuelta de  reconocimiento del terreno por los  750 metros en los que se desarrolló la prueba, a las 12:00 horas daba comienzo  la  primera carrera, y así sucesivamente, hasta completar las ocho categorías.

Finalizada s las pruebas, la jefa del Departamento de Educación Física, Sue Barley, y el director del centro educativo, James Kennedy, procedieron a la entrega de medallas  y diplomas  a los ganadores de las distintas categorías.  Además, cada uno de los participantes, también recibió su diploma por haber participado en este gran evento deportivo.

Málaga, January 24th, 2013. Yesterday morning Novaschool Sunland International hosted for the first time the International Schools Cross Country Championships. It was a great success with the participation of 500 students from 10 different International Schools from Andalucía. The organization and the weather also helped that the race would develop in excellent conditions and in a unique sports atmosphere.

The following International Schools took part: Laude San Pedro International College, Benalmádena International College, Almuñécar International School, St Anthony’s College, English International College, Swans School, St Georges, British College, Sotogrande International School and finally, the host, Novaschool Sunland International.

Before the race, competitors could walk the 750m lap. At 12:00h the first race started and the 8 different categories were completed at 14.20h without any problem or incident.

After the final race, the School Principal James Kennedy and the head of the Physical Education Department Sue Barley awarded the medals and the certificates to the winners from the different categories. In addition, every participant also received a certificate for taking part at this great event.
