Outdoor Activities

The curriculum for physical education in the British system can be very innovative in certain aspects. For example, in recent weeks, some groups have been practicing Outdoor Activities. This block of the curriculum includes hiking and orienteering, skills that fit perfectly with the spirit and essence of Novaschool Sunland International.

For example, these photos are of Year 7 during one of their orienteering classes in P.E. The idea was to solve a puzzle or riddle through teamwork. To do this, students needed to learn to move around the grounds quickly with a map, whilst finding clues and signs to solve the riddle. The competitive factor of this game pushes students to sprint uphill and down and motivates them to get the best out of the students.
