Cártama, 16th November, 2012. Last Friday, Year 2 had the wonderful opportunity of experiencing first-hand the functions of a lawyer. Paula Lu´s mum (Paché Martínez) kindly offered to come in and explain to the children about her job. Year 2 listened attentively as she explained a simple dilemma that a lawyer might have to deal with. After this, children were chosen to act out the case in court with a defendant, a plaintiff, lawyers and judge. Each lawyer defended their client with enthusiasm after which the judge made a decision and the police came to carry away the guilty party!
It was certainly a day to remember as children had the chance to wear judicial gowns and listen to a very clear and visual explanation about what a lawyer does. We would like to thank all those involved and look forward to having more parents coming in soon!
