Cártama, 22nd October 2012.
On Friday, Novaschool Sunland International students and families wanted to do their bit and collaborate in the initiative to collect food for the Cáritas charity in Cártama.
Thanks to the cooperation of the school´s educational community, many families have been able to ease, to some extent, the economic difficulties that they are going through at this difficult time. A total of 350 kg of food was raised in a single day at the British school, an act which has been greatly appreciated by Cáritas Estación de Cártama.
All Sunland students and employees collaborated to bring together different types of food (dairy, pasta, vegetables, tinned food and many other items) and these were distributed directly to the affected households on that same Friday afternoon.
The school wanted to join this project immediately after hearing about it through María Alonso Riquelme, the mother of two Novaschool Sunland students.
