En Novaschool Sunland International el carnaval 2021 como siempre es una fiesta con mucho color, vida y música. Por la ocasión nuestro alumnado y profesorado presumen de máscaras y disfraces muy originales
La celebración del Carnaval 2021 es sin duda una de las festividades más esperadas y populares de nuestro colegio.
El significado del término ‘carnaval’ procede del italiano ‘carnevale’, que a su vez deriva del sintagma carne levare, lo cual significa ‘retirar la carne’, o sea evitarla. De hecho, el carnaval es un concepto relacionado con la Cuaresma.
Durante el curso de la historia, diferentes pueblos tuvieron más fechas dedicadas a fiestas similares al carnaval. En España generalmente se entierra la sardina al final de las fiestas – antes se quemaba – porqué el fuego significaba expiación y fin brusco de las cosas.
¡Cada País tiene sus tradiciones… y cada colegio también!
Aquí en Novaschool Sunland este año hemos decidido celebrar el carnaval de una forma un poco alternativa. Dadas las actuales circunstancias es complicado ir por las tiendas para comprar un disfraz a los niños. Entonces a cada clase se le ha asignado un color del arco iris para que podamos crear un bonito collage con todas las fotos y transmitir un mensaje positivo en estos tiempos difíciles.

Carnival is an Italian word meaning ‘carnevale’ which comes from the word ‘carne levare’ or ‘withdraw of meat’, a concept related to Lent.
Through the course of history, and across the globe, many different cultures and civilisations have dates dedicated to carnival-like celebrations. In Spain, sardines are traditionally buried at the end of festivities. In the past, they were burnt as fire was considered atonement for sins.
Each country has its own traditions… and every school celebrates it in its own manner!
Here at Novaschool Sunland, we decided to celebrate Carnival slightly differently this year. Given the current circumstances it is difficult to go to shops and buy costumes for the children. Therefore, each class was assigned a rainbow colour so that we can create a nice collage with all the photos and create a positive message in these difficult times.
