En Novaschool Sunland International somos conscientes de la importancia de ser creativos para adaptarnos a este mundo cambiante por ello hemos puesto en marcha un proyecto de intercambio de libros de arte de docentes para fomentar la creatividad entre el equipo
Miss Jenny, nuestra profesora de arte, está participando en un intercambio de libros de arte de docentes internacional con otros profesores de arte desde el año pasado. Ha demostrado ser una práctica constante y tranquilizadora, por lo que decidió promover un intercambio similar entre los profesores interesados del colegio para el resto de este año académico.
¡Cualquiera puede unirse a este proyecto, porque TODOS pueden dibujar! Dedicar tiempo para crear es algo de lo que muchas personas, ‘arty’ o no, pueden disfrutar y beneficiarse, especialmente durante estos tiempos inciertos.
Los que quieren participar se comprometen a involucrarse hasta el final del trimestre. Cada mes la cantidad de dibujos será diferente porque cualquiera puede hacer tantos como quiera; no hay reglas sobre cómo llenar las páginas.
Todo el mundo puede crear una portada, poner un sello, colorear, escribir el año en curso, poner un texto, hacer collage de pintura, impresión, costura, etc. Lo más importante es mantener la “conversación” en marcha. El proyecto continúa durante todo el año, al final del cual cada uno recibe su propio libro completo de vuelta para guardar.
Los profesores deben procurarse un pequeño cuaderno de bocetos A5 o A6 y empezar a dibujar. No hay un tema específico, pero Miss Jenny dio algunas sugerencias – como por ejemplo momentos de paz, volver a casa, colecciones, utensilios o lo que sea. Al final del mes todos los participantes pasarán su libro a otra persona.
En ausencia de un taller de introducción, Miss Jenny ha preparado un “paquete de bienvenida” para cada participante con el fin de dar ideas adicionales y compartir el entusiasmo. También hemos creado un grupo de WhatsApp para subir fotos y fragmentos de lo que estamos realizando.

At Novaschool Sunland International we are aware of the importance of being creative in order to adapt to this changing world. One of our main aims is the wellbeing of our teachers, therefore, our projects don’t only involve students, but also staff.
Miss Jenny, our art teacher, has been participating in a monthly sketchbook exchange with other art teachers since last year. It has proven to be a constant and calming practice, so that she set up a similar exchange among interested colleagues for the remainder of this academic year.
Anyone can join this project, because EVERYONE can draw! Making time for creating is something that many people, ‘arty’ or not, can enjoy and Benefit from – especially during these uncertain times.
Once teachers decide to join in, they commit to it until the end of term. Each month the amount of drawings will differ because anyone can make as much as he/she like. There are no rules about how to fill the pages.
Everyone can create a title page, put a stamp, make a collage, colour, paint, print, stitching etc. The most important thing is to keep the ‘conversation’ going. The process continues throughout the year, at the end of which everyone receives his/her own completed book back to keep.
Teachers should get a small sketchbook, A5 or A6, and start drawing. There is no specific theme but Miss Jenny suggested some prompts as for example moments of peace, coming home, collections, tools and utensils or whatever. At the end of the month all participants will pass their book onto another person.
In the absence of having an introduction workshop, Miss Jenny prepared a ‘welcome pack’ for each participant in order to give additional ideas and share encouragement. We also set up a WhatsApp group to share pictures and snippets of what we are making.
