Francisco Barrionuevo receives the Medal of Honor of the University of Malaga as former President of the Social Council

Francisco Barrionuevo, CEO of Novaschool, receives the 50th Anniversary Medal of Honor from the University of Malaga as President of the Social Council 2004-2011.

The University of Malaga celebrates its first 50 years of history and since the institution has wanted to share this celebration with the rectors and presidents of its Social Council. During the event José Ángel Narváez, current Rector of the University of Malaga, wanted to thank them for their dedication ”to achieve a competitive and recognized university, close to society, which works locally and regionally without forgetting its international vocation’.

Last Friday, April 21, the assembly hall of the Rectorate of the University of Malaga hosted the celebration of its 50th anniversary, an event in which the medal of honor was presented to the rectors who have passed through the UMA, and the presidents of the Social Council of the UMA, among which is Francisco Barrionuevo, CEO of Novaschool and who held the presidency of the Council for 7 years (2004-2011).

Francisco Barrionuevo, CEO of Novaschool, was president of the Social Council of the University of Malaga during the period 2004-2011. Of this period, Barrionuevo highlights:

‘My time as president of the social council of the University of Malaga was very enriching. I maintained close contact with the Rector and her government team. Mainly from the Social Council we were at all times supporting the strong investments of the University of Malaga in all matters relating to the construction of new buildings in the extension of the Teatinos campus. To highlight, the works of the School of Industrial Engineers and the Faculty of Commerce and Labor.’
