Team building days at the Novaschool Hotel in Granada

Last week, Year 7 and Year 8 students enjoyed the annual days of team building and emotional development at the Novaschool Medina Elvira School Hotel.

The students, together with their tutors and with the direct participation of the guidance team of the Novaschool Group, carried out different activities to promote the bases for a more collaborative and participatory school year.

From Novaschool Sunland we are aware of the need to carry out educational and recreational-sports activities outside the usual learning environment to facilitate the holistic development of our students. The programme is aimed at the continuous improvement of the intra and interpersonal skills of each of our students to promote at the same time the cohesion between the group.

Our students of Y7 and Y8 have participated in the different fun activities such as the escape room solving riddles, the evening with modern music, the sports Olympics and finally the masterchef challenge. This, together with the music evening, has undoubtedly been one of the activities that both students and teachers have loved the most.

Everyone enjoyed this ‘business’ culinary competition where groups of 6 students had to create their own company – specifically a pizzeria – developing their business idea, choosing their star product, their logo, their slogan and the name.

Finally, the jury (the teachers and the orientation team) after the exhibition and the tasting, have made the delivery of the Michelin stars valuing several aspects. Among them we can mention: collaboration, coordination, communication, image, cleanliness, order, taste and texture, but above all teamwork!

This experience has been a success and all participants enjoyed two special days outside the school in an innovative, creative and dynamic environment. We hope to repeat this original initiative with the same enthusiasm and desire throughout the next school year.
