For one more year, Novaschool Sunland International has participated in the SUR in English Educational Special Edition.
All the international Schools in southern Spain and Gibraltar are invited to join the annual Education and Learning supplement, which was published today, Friday 11 March 2022.
The purpose of this publication is to showcase the talent and work of youngsters in both of primary and secondary stages by publishing a selection of artwork, poems and short stories.
We are proud of the variety of activities and projects that british Schools around showed in this occasion. A special recognition has been given to the best contributions, divided into three categories:
- An original piece of artwork
- A short story on the theme of HOME
- A poem containing the words ‘tractor’ and ‘truth’
The supplement is divided into two sections: the first one is dedicated to children’s work and the second to pictures and information showing the variety of activities that are carried out in the schools around Andalusia.
We are pleased to have two students mentioned in this Educational Special 2022:
- Ambra Milena Stanzani (Y5) – Special Mention Primary Short Story
- María Álvarez García (Y6) – Special Mention Primary Poem

Besides, this week our Principal Mrs. Evans took part in a roundtable style online webinar moderated by Rachel Haynes – Editor of SUR in English – to debate about different aspects affecting education providers with some representatives of other international schools and colleges located in Costa del Sol.
Participants discussed a lots of questions related to international education while mentioning their current projects, what they have achieved so far this academic year 2021-2022 and what is planned for the next months. They also discussed how to interact on an international level with other educational centres and how they form part and contribute to this community in south Andalusia.
