We commemorate two decades since our school opened its doors in Estación de Cártama in 2001.
It seems impossible to believe, but this school year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of a center that was born as a response to the need to have a British School in the Guadalhorce Valley.
Novaschool Sunland International is today one of the best private schools of British International Curriculum in Spain for students from 3 to 18 years old that bases its educational model in four fundamental pillars: bilingualism, technology, sport and art.
If we look back and remember what the center was like, we realize how much it has changed. Over the last twenty years we have worked constantly to improve our facilities and services. Part of the awareness of the change we have made has been acquired thanks to the continuous effort of our team, our staff, our students and their families.
Novaschool Sunland has managed to create something that goes far beyond the education sector by promoting a social, sustainable and excellent project. Our teaching philosophy is based on a commitment to the educational community according to the promotion of values such as respect, solidarity, creativity and fun.
Innovation is a maxim to always be at the forefront betting on the quality of teaching and environmental care. The school is an official centre certified by the British Council – recognised by UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service), member of NABBS (National Association of British Schools) – and is also accredited by Edexcel, by the University of Cambridge International Examinations together with UNED Assis.
Over the years, we have been compiling many achievements as a group and as an institution, some of which have been recognized nationally and internationally. Protocols have been implemented providing an improvement in the quality of teaching, school management and administration.
After a project of remodeling and construction of new buildings and outdoor learning spaces that we continue to carry out, the school has expanded its facilities by more than 1000 square meters, for a greater adaptation to the number of students – which have gone from being 82 in 2001 to 700 in 2021. What is more, both accesses between the buildings and the access to the center have been improved, and a major expansion has been made.
The school currently has the following facilities: library, 2 specific science laboratories, computer room, art and design room, music room, multipurpose room, swimming pool, volleyball court, artificial turf football field, two basketball courts, a cross country lane, dining room, teachers’ classroom and office.
We are very proud of the objectives we have managed to achieve in these twenty years.
