Novaschool Sunland hosts the 6th anniversary of the Cross Country Championships

The following week, 31st January, will mark the 6th consecutive year for the Interschool Cross Country Championships as 12 International schools from the Costa del Sol gather to compete in the event which boasts over 20 years of history.

More than 500 pupils from different International schools along the Malaga coast will participate in the race where they will compete in 8 distinct categories as well as in the category chosen to represent the school. They will share a unique goal: to have fun and to enjoy the experience in the hope of achieving the highest score to be an asset to their school and to take a stand on the winner’s podium.

It goes without saying that Novaschool Sunland, set in 40,000 square metre grounds of natural landscape in the Guadalhorce Valley, north east of Malaga, makes the perfect setting for the event. Its school buildings, surroundings and long steady slopes as well as rough and stony terrain make the 1,000m course a fresh challenge every year for competing runners.

In this 6th edition of the Interschool Cross Country Championships, they are proud to confirm the participation of several International schools along the coast: Aloha College, British International School, Swans International School, The English International College, The British School, Sunny View School, Laude International School, Sotogrande International School, St. Anthony’s College, Almuñécar International School, Queens British Grammar School and Novaschool Sunland

Novaschool Sunland International have thrown themselves wholeheartedly into the organization of this event and are preparing the finishing touches of what has become a “compulsory annual reunion” of International schools from Malaga, Cadiz and Granada.

The event will be counting on the support and collaboration of Cártama Council who will be deploying Local Police to assist as well as Public Safety officers to provide sanitary services. La Canasta, Aquacor and TuGestoria are among several companies who have not hesitated to come forward to support the project not forgetting Nike whose platform Nike Ambassadors Community will offer support with volunteers to help coordinate the event proceedings.
