Málaga, 14 de febrero de 2013. David Meca cautiva a la comunidad educativa de Novaschool. A las 11.30 horas comenzaba la conferencia que el campeón mundial de natación ha pronunciado en el centro bilingüe ante más de 400 personas, entre los que se encontraban alumnos de la etapa de Secundaria y Bachillerato de Novaschool Sunland y Novaschool Añoreta, profesores y alumnos del Club de Natación y del Club de Triatlón Novaschool.
El nadador contaba cómo fueron sus comienzos en el deporte acuático a pesar de su dura infancia marcada por problemas de salud y por duros entrenamientos. Como gracias a su esfuerzo, tenacidad y lucha constante ha logrado numerosos méritos profesionales: número uno en Ranking Mundial de Natación de Larga Distancia, Campeón del Mundo en 1998-2000-2005, Líder en el Ranking Mundial de 2001-2002 y 2003, y primer nadador en ganar cuatro medallas en un Campeonato del Mundo, entre otras.
David Meca dejaba sin palabras a los oyentes de la sala, dos horas en las que los alumnos miraban y escuchaban atentamente todas las vivencias, historias y videos que el deportista ha compartido con la comunidad educativa. Unos alumnos impresionados por los valores inherentes a la actividad deportiva que Meca ha resaltado y transmitido durante toda la conferencia, y sin los cuáles, afirmaba, que su carrera profesional y personal no habría sido la que es.
Motivación, lucha, presión, trabajo en equipo, retos, disciplina, sufrimiento y tenacidad son algunos de los valores que han marcado la vida del nadador español y así lo ha transmitido a los jóvenes. “ Un buen campeón no nace, se hace”, con estas palabras finalizaba su exitosa ponencia que ha mantenido en un riguroso silencio a todos los espectadores de la sala.
Tras la charla, David Meca ha participado en el programa de radio `enComunicación´, de la cadena ES.RADIO MÁLAGA, que se ha emitido en directo desde las instalaciones de Novaschool Añoreta.
Málaga, 14th February, 2013. David Meca captivates the Novaschool educational community. At 11.30am, the Swimming World Champion´s conference began at the Añoreta bilingual school. More than 400 people attended, among which were secondary and 6th Form students of Novaschool Sunland and Novaschool Añoreta, monitors, and pupils of the Novaschool Swimming Club and Triathlon Club.
The swimmer talked about his early days in water sports, despite his tough childhood which was marked by health problems and hard training. He explained that with constant work, perseverance and effort he has achieved numerous professional merits: The number one world ranking of long-distance swimming, World Champion in 1998-2000-2005, leader in the 2001, 2002 and 2003 World Rankings, and the first swimmer to win four medals in a World Championship.
David Meca left the crowd speechless. For two hours the pupils were listened and paid attention to each of the stories, experiences and videos that the athlete shared with all the members of the school. Pupils were impressed by the inherent values of sport that Meca highlighted and transmitted in his lecture, without which, he claimed his professional and personal life wouldn´t have been the same.
Motivation, effort, pressure, teamwork, challenges, discipline, suffering and perseverance are some of the values that have been essential in the Spanish swimmer´s life, and this is what he transmitted to the pupils. “A good champion is not born, but made”, were the last words of this successful conference which caused a respectful silence amongst all the spectators in the room.
After the conference, David Meca participated in a radio program `enComunicación´, on the radio network ES.RADIO MÁLAGA, that was transmitted live from Novaschool Añoreta.
Málaga, 14. Februar 2013. David Meca fasziniert die Novaschool Bildungsgemeinschaft. Um 11.30 Uhr startete die Sitzung mit dem Schwimmweltmeister in der zweisprachigen Schule Añoreta. Über 400 Personen nahmen teil, darunter Sekundar- und Oberstufenschüler der Novaschool Sunland und Añoreta, Lehrer und Schüler des Novaschool Schwimm– und Triathlonvereins.
Der Schwimmer sprach über seine Anfänge im Wassersport, trotz harter Kindheit, die von gesundheitlichen Problemen und hartem Training gezeichnet war. Er erklärte, dass er durch konstante Arbeit, Ausdauer und Anstrengung viele berufliche Verdienste erzielt habe: die Weltrangliste im Weitschwimmen anzuführen, Weltmeister 1998, 2000 und 2005 zu werden, Anführer der Weltranglisten 2001, 2002 und 2003 und der erste Schwimmer zu sein, der vier Medaillen in einer Weltmeisterschaft gewonnen hat.
Das Publikum war sprachlos. Zwei Stunden lang lauschten die Schüler aufmerksam jeder einzelnen von David Mecas Geschichten, seinen Erfahrungen und Videos, die der Athlet mit allen Schulmitgliedern teilte. Die Schüler waren beeindruckt von den dem Sport anhaftenden Werten, die Meca betonte und in seinem Vortrag übermittelte, ohne die, so sagte er, sein berufliches und privates Leben nicht die selben gewesen wären.
Motivation, Einsatz, Druck, Teamarbeit, Herausforderungen, Disziplin, Leid und Ausdauer sind einige der Werte, die im Leben des spanischen Schwimmers essentiell gewesen sind und die er an die Schüler übermittelt hat. “Niemand ist zum Champion geboren, aber dazu gemacht” waren die letzten Worte dieser erfolgreichen Tagung, die eine achtungsvolle Stille unter den Zuschauern auslösten.
Nach der Tagung nahm David Meca an einer Radiosendung namens “enComunicación” des Senders ES.RADIO MÁLAGA teil, die live von der Novaschool Añoreta ausgestrahlt wurde..
